Finished coloring it, not as easy as I thought it would be yet still gratifying trying a new coloring technique. hope you like it.
Btw what program did you use?
Excellently done! I really like the shading and the motion effect!
Thank you so much!!! I wanted a bright happy picture that just pops right out at you, something that made you feel like he could be swinging right towards you.
Looks great man, however, I'd recommend that you use the blur effect on the backside of the body, as you would in manga motion/action lines.
This one is still one of my favorites but is a little weird sometimes, as it looks almost like a 3D color break instead of a motion effect.
It is a personal preference too though...
Bottom line, still outstanding work.
Thanks man, I did use a little bit of blur on his right (our left) armpit to signify a bit more motion. I just didn't want to blur the crap out of it and lose some of the detailed linework that i did, almost like it wouldn't of mattered what lines I threw down if i did that.
A little trick to resolve that comes from manga...
The power comes in a soft blur to one edge of the hardline of one side of each building and then blur from one side of the character's body from the trailing side, opposite the direction of movement/motion.
So for this one, the blur would have reflected motion from the top right to the bottom left. Then, the character headed in that same direction only blurs trailed behind him... It would be a much more mild effect but with more impact.
Give it a shot sometime and see what comes of it.
Still cool none the less.
Nice clean gradient cuts!
Really you think so? I tried a different coloring style to this piece, more hard brushes than anything. But thanks for liking it!!!
Really nice, love the colors!
Thanks, I think my coloring skill have stepped up a notch, i like how much this one pops out at you.
Reminds me a bit of Joe Mad's Avenging Spider-Man
You know, i see that, doesnt help that i have a huge poster of that first cover over my drawing table but I didnt look at it while drawing this one lol.
I almost think that the pencils version couldn't turn out better, and it has changed a lot! Awesome work, man.
thanks, i wanted this to be bright and hopeful, which is why I chose this particular color palette. Also I wanted it fan accessible ie for little children.
This is epic! Love the blur effect. Spidey is really movong
yeah it was tricky trying to nail done which blur effect to use and adjust it so. But I think i got it to where I wanted it.
The color version looks fantastic, dude !!! XD
Thats dope mate
i just realized that Spiderman enjoys the hard rock.
